03/01/2024: Wir waren - am 3.1.2024 - im hübschen alten Hügeldorf Rossano und dort waren alle Restaurants geschlossen. Durch Zufall sind wir auf das sympathische Maqueda Restaurant in Rossano Neustadt gestossen und wurden mit unseren zwei Windhunden sehr freundlich empfangen. Das Essen war wunderbar, wir waren erst nach 14.00 Uhr dort und mussten uns auch nicht beeilen. Die Vorspeisen und das lauwarme Brot (durch den Besitzer selber nach der slow food Methode gebacken), herrlich. Bestes Olivenöl aus Rossano war auf dem Tisch. Die Hauptgänge und Desserts (hausgemacht!) top! Am Abend soll es Pizza geben, mit einem Teig, den sie über lange Zeit aufgehen lassen, das ist sehr bekömmlich. Wir werden sie probieren kommen! Fatto presente al titolare, ecco la sua risposta: il pesce è fresco, ci è stato portato venerdì. E non aggiungo altro

05/12/2023: Place located in Rossano, a small town where, let's face it, envy is more widespread than daily bread. But as we know, curiosity always wins. Dishes that leave you speechless, and not just because of the name. Abundant, yes, but it is the quality that amazes. A kitchen that seems to say "take and eat", and you, believe me, you won't say no. The local? An environment that is remembered. Not the classic restaurant, but something more. An atmosphere that envelops you, almost like a hug, and a location that tells stories, probably truer than those circulating around the country. In short, it is a place where food and wine becomes art and where the dishes tell of passion and dedication. If you find yourself in Rossano, don't stop by, take a flight! And leave your prejudices at home, they are useless here.

02/03/2024: Friendly and helpful staff for all information, welcoming and clean interior. Clean bathrooms. No smells coming from the kitchens. Service at the tables was quite fast, considering the large number of diners. Excellent sushi. Other perfectly cooked dishes. The only minor flaw was the sweet and sour sauce as it was more "liquid" than expected with higher acidity. "All you can eat" lunch menu at €15.90 + €1.00 cover charge..... price in line with other restaurants. So score 10. Being traveling and having a little dog in tow, I did not receive any refusal for his entry into the room. For this kindness I can only express words of thanks and raise the score to 11.

22/01/2024: Friendly staff, but poor cleanliness and suffocating atmosphere.. all too dark in the furnishings.. I recommend! When you leave there, throw all your clothing, including underwear, in the washing machine... otherwise your house will be filled with bad smells.

12/08/2023: Truly relaxing beach. There is an authentic and regenerating atmosphere. There is space between the umbrellas, they are not all stuck together like in other places. Showers, children's games available. In short, everything you need! Very helpful staff! Thanks Baffo!

03/01/2024: Unica nota positiva , il giorno dopo passeggiata sul lungo mare, il pranzo del 1 gennaio con buon anticipasto calabrese, buone le lasagne, buone le casarecce con funghi e pancetta, buono più per il secondo di arista con le patate al forno, frutta fresca e per dolce tiramisù. Non lo consiglierei se non per la buona comitiva che alleggeriva il soggiorno in allegria e leggerezza. Buon 2024.

13/08/2023: Two weights and two measures. The 'villagers' are served very well, the tourists much less so. Sin. The place is beautiful and the food genuine. But as often happens in these places, they are still not able to make 'foreigners' feel welcome... wherever in Europe they come from! When will we Italians understand that treating tourists well will guarantee our future?... being smart today does not guarantee well-being tomorrow.
