23/03/2024: We had dinner at this restaurant which intrigued us during our walk... the welcome was friendly but at the same time professional... we had an appetizer which was top quality and plentiful... followed by two equally interesting second courses with quality products... all accompanied by a good wine that we chose with the help of the host... who pleasantly entertained us during the meal and at the end of dinner with interesting notions on the history of the location of the restaurant... congratulations for the food... for the proposals and for the pleasant feeling of being regular customers and not simply passing through... we will definitely see each other again

30/03/2024: I am very happy to do this review. I had chosen based on the google reviews and I can say that they were all worth it!!!! Very nice and very kind staff, especially with the 2 year old girl - not to be taken for granted - a cod from the END OF THE WORLD, an explosion of taste and experience of the senses. We then had an exquisite slice of tuna and a typical pasta dish with truffles whose name I don't remember, nothing short of heavenly!!!!!!! Everything was delicious, excellent grappas, excellent location, they even gave the little girl raspberries...HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!

21/03/2024: Dinner with family on the 15th. Beautiful location enhanced by the floor-to-ceiling view of the "Domus Romana". Excellent appetizers with refined and quality products (such as Spello rice, pata negra, artichokes, cheese and eggs), the first and second courses are also good and worthy of mention (potato and nettle gnocchi with lamb sauce, spaghetti, tomato, vanilla and anchovies , goat's milk risotto with asparagus and savory), good cellar. Discrete but present, professional staff. The only note that is not up to par with the place and what is expected to close an excellent dinner are the desserts which I didn't actually have to make Wow, without praise or infamy. We will definitely return and it is worth recommending as much as a starred one

10/03/2024: La Locanda del Cardinale in Assisi is not just a restaurant, it is an experience. The environment is elegant and refined. The glass floor is enchanting and offers a suggestive view of the remains of a Roman Domus. The menu offers traditional Umbrian dishes reinterpreted in a modern key with great skill. The flavors are authentic and the raw materials of the highest quality. I had the opportunity to taste several dishes, all delicious and carefully prepared. The presentation of the dishes is impeccable and the attention to detail is noticeable. The professionalism in the service makes everything even more pleasant. If you want to enjoy a high-level culinary experience in a unique and evocative context, this is the right place. The price is adequate for the quality of the food and service.

07/04/2024: The restaurant was in a more quiet street which we really enjoyed. The staff was really nice and the food was amazing. We got their gnocchi which were great and the mixed grilled meat (veal,pork ribs and sausages, chicken). They also have off the menu plates which sounded really appetising.

03/03/2024: Incantevole location ai piedi del Bosco di S. Francesco con pareti in pietra viva ed un bel camino al piano superiore. La cucina offre i tipici piatti della cucina umbra ma ad eccezione dell'antipasto misto di ottimi affettati e formaggi accompagnati da una buona focaccia, i primi (caramelle di pasta quasi crudi) e soprattutto il secondo di carne mista alla brace (salsiccia e costine di maiale ed agnello di formato mignon e bruciati) hanno deluso le aspettative. Personale gentile e professionale. Rapporto qualita'-prezzo mediocre.

11/02/2024: Cibo della tradizione umbra, buona la carne ed ottima la qualità dei prodotti. Vale la pena puntare sui piatti tipici, sicuramente il coniglio alla cacciatora va provato

30/03/2024: Small and welcoming restaurant in the center of Assisi. I ate some excellent Sagrantino gnocchi, sautéed wild herbs and a large glass of Sagrantino Rosato which I really liked. Price paid for this dinner was 25 euros. The staff is very kind and the environment welcoming.

07/04/2024: We did not sleep at the hotel but had lunch and it was simply excellent. Local food but with an upscale touch. The different dining rooms are very nicely decorated with taste. I spent around 100€ for a party of 4 with starter, main course, wine of the house, 4 coffees and one desert. I highly recommend this restaurant Book in advance to ensure there is a table available. For parking the best is to drive to the other side of the tracks and park near the train station. It’s then just a short walk to the restaurant.

01/04/2024: We went for lunch with a group of friends. Good food, service leaves something to be desired, perhaps a little education to the waiters should be explained. We certainly won't be back.

30/03/2024: This is the second time we go to this farm. A good choice for the location and the place where it is located. We wanted a quiet place surrounded by greenery, we found it. Furthermore, they produce everything themselves, oil, wine, vegetables, meat, even soap. I recommend eating at the restaurant...a nice and good experience. The staff is friendly and very helpful. What can I say...there is no 2 without 3.

05/04/2024: Truly exceptional! We were welcomed by a very practical lady, who managed to satisfy us with the choice of place and who recommended some delicious dishes (we weren't even able to take photos before tasting them). In short, fast and very efficient service, a nice place overlooking the square and really excellent food. Passed with flying colors and recommended! Ps we will definitely be back!

04/04/2024: The place is wonderful, very welcoming in its simplicity, overlooking the Piazza del Comune, very beautiful in the evening. The first courses are very good, the raw materials are excellent and the pasta is homemade. The staff is extremely customer focused. The meats are fresh and very tasty. The value for money is excellent We ate very well and would go back.😄 P.S. the bread that accompanies the meals is delicious.
