Torneremo sicuramente di nuovo ma nn vediamo l’ora che arrivi l’estate per mangiare nelle rampe esterne. Complimenti.

07/04/2024: The ship is only beautiful from the outside. I was there to celebrate my mother's birthday. I didn't like anything from start to finish. We enter and they make us sit, the place is outdoors facing the sea which promises well and is attractive but we immediately discover that no menu can be viewed and consequently we don't know the prices of the products that the waiters say verbally. Let's specify that it is not a trattoria but a restaurant, and quite a serious one too, from how it presents itself, so not having a menu did not reflect the context. We choose the products by intuition while the waiter lists them without unfortunately knowing what was inside since it was not specified. Decent appetizers, first courses without any pretense and we have the second courses eliminated as they are already quite disappointed. We stopped elsewhere for a dessert and coffee which settled our mood and our mouths. I wouldn't return nor recommend it unless you want to try your luck.

26/10/2023: Every time the Mood is a pleasant confirmation! Every time we return to Francavilla a dinner there is a must!!! As time went by we tried practically everything... even their selection of raw... Very fresh and by reservation only! We are never disappointed!!! All the courses are plentiful and have a fantastic flavour! The hot and cold appetizers will satisfy your cravings precisely because of the variety of courses they have, the first courses are truly beautiful, full and tasty dishes and the second courses are excellent! This evening we had the mussels... Fresh and we actually received a full tray! The first one, gnocchi with scampi and courgette flowers, was real. Excellent and so abundant that afterwards I was no longer able to eat the second course and my husband the mixed grill... which seemed too much for just one person! and finally a textbook tiramisu.... Excellent and really abundant!!!! we were really packed! The value for money is good... considering the nice portions served and the fantastic quality!

22/03/2024: The fish products used gave the impression of being fresh, what disappointed me were the sauces which seem to have been taken from the jar, heated and added to the dishes. Then honestly three first courses, two starters, a skimpy second course, a quarter of wine, two coffees, a bitter, 127 euros, seems seriously exaggerated to me, despite the sweetness, professionalism and courtesy of those who served us at the table. The Diabolik mussels, I'm not saying they were disgusting but it was close, there wasn't a mussel that wasn't stuck to the shell almost as if to say we've been here for days, dry and dry so I paid for a dish that didn't do you justice. Not recommended.

21/03/2024: The place is very nice and conveys reliability and warmth but it would also be nice to give it a "update" on some things, as I recommend, but very enveloping and pleasant. We took an appetizer of 9 tastings consisting of a cold dish (marinated anchovies, marinated salmon, seafood salad, a fish fillet with excellent Lucanian crusco pepper) then as hot stuffed mussels, a scampi, a stuffed razor clam and tuna Sicilian style. All very tasty, pleasant and I would like to underline the great quality and freshness of the fish. Then we ordered the mussels diabolik, that is, things poached in tomato with chilli, very tasty but the mussels were a little dry and the tomato seemed to have been undercooked... everything would have been better if the mussels had been meatier and perhaps the tastier and cooked sauce. The bread that was offered to us was of great quality and of different types and therefore also pleasant when tasting the different dishes. For first courses we took: the gnocchi with prawns and clams, exceptional, the same thing for the paccheri, prawns, scampi, olives etc. which were also perfect both in flavor and in cooking and then the rigatoni with scampi and prawns and here too the problem is always the sauce was, as if it were undercooked. As for the octopus, it was certainly delicious but we were disappointed because at least two tentacles must be inserted... one tentacle is really small. We also really appreciated the freshly grilled vegetables, the truly courteous and precise service, in short, an excellent restaurant with a little something to fix but we will definitely return.
