07/03/2024: Unique experience. Room and service entirely dedicated to our table. We start with appetizers: donut of parmesan cream, appetizer of mortadella and one of pumpkin, finishing with cuttlefish hamburger. Fried snail appetizer, first course tortellini lies with mussels and second course suspended duck. Finally fried dumpling with dessert and chocolate tastes.

09/12/2023: Excellent ice cream shop near the church of San Francesco. The pistachio and hazelnut flavors are truly amazing, but the almond and trifle flavors are unsurpassed! The choice of high quality ingredients combined with the passion and skill of the ice cream master Milena make their ice cream a unique experience for the palate! Keep it up !

02/04/2024: I was recently. Small but welcoming place. Decent cabbage appetizer, but nothing special. Very good first courses; dessert, however, was nothing special, as were the wines that were served to us by the glass. The service, at least on the evening I was there, did not shine in terms of availability, while a few months ago the owner (I think) had instead been particularly courteous (this time he was not present).

31/03/2024: We went for lunch with our girls and had such a good time that we returned for dinner too. Everything was excellent from the appetizers to the dessert, especially the mouth-watering mascarpone with chocolate salami. Davide, owner and sommelier, welcomes everyone with extreme kindness and professionalism. We will definitely return to Modena to taste Zèmian's cuisine again.

20/02/2024: We are long- time Massimo fans and had high expectations for the meal. It was nine courses that nourished our inner child, our creativity and our passion for food. A triumph of Italian cuisine at a stunning location in the Modenese countryside. There were incredible flavours and combinations we have never seen or heard of before, executed to perfection. The most famous (and most awaited) dishes - Five Ages of Parmiggiano, The Crunchy Part of a Lasagne, Oops! I dropped the Lemon Tart - lived up to all the expectations and hype. I will never be able to eat beef / veal again after the spin-painted veal - the most divine meat I have ever tasted and such a beautiful dish, honestly breathtaking. The chefs executed Massimo’s vision to such a high standard, all staff were incredibly friendly and willing to go above and beyond. Our server was attentive, never let a water glass empty, and offered us to take a photo with the chefs at the end of the meal which was a very nice touch. The Sommelier giving introductions to each dish was funny, engaging and informative. Kudos for giving every intro in 2 languages - no mean feat, and he made it look effortless. As a non-drinker, I have been to meals before where wine is pushed at each course. At the start, I stated I didn’t drink, glasses were removed and it wasn’t offered again. Very respectful, and exactly how other restaurants should run. Finally, the communal tables added a warm community vibe to the evening, meeting others from different walks of life and sharing the experience of incredible food was an experience we will never forget. Thank you, thank you, thank you to the staff for such a wonderful experience. We will be back.

07/04/2024: Breakfast on Sunday morning....a quiet place and absolutely friendly and nice people. Brioches, cakes and handmade desserts. Highly recommended!

02/04/2024: It is located a few steps from Piazza Grande in Modena, the perfect place for a solitary stop or in company. It was immediately one of my go-to places when I first moved to the city precisely because of the relaxed and authentic atmosphere you can breathe. When I have a coffee or a slice of their fantastic cakes I feel at home, the staff is fantastic and always puts you at ease even in moments of greatest crowds. I recommend tasting all their biscuits accompanied by a good coffee or a cup of hot tea. The space inside is not very large but you can sit both in the small outdoor area and at the tables overlooking Via Francesco Selmi. Possibility to book your cake in advance via whatsapp.

07/04/2024: After an initial mix-up in which we had to bring the dog home because they wouldn't take him (it's a shame that in the two hours before dinner I had tried to call several times to ask but they always had an answering machine), good dishes and adequate prices, even I had asked for a medium-cooked fillet cut but it arrived rare. At midnight we were kindly asked to leave because they placed the bill on the table for us and started turning off the lights.

12/03/2024: You're spoiled for choice. For daily shopping, excellent offers on meat, cured meats and other niche products. As a restaurant I find it excellent.

27/02/2024: Ho scelto di festeggiare il mio matrimonio da Vinicio e fin da subito ho apprezzato la professionalità del titolare e di tutto lo staff. La cucina ed il servizio sono eccellenti ed il locale è elegante e spazioso. Il personale ha soddisfatto ogni tipo di richiesta e tutta la festa è andata ben oltre ad ogni aspettativa.

04/04/2024: The first time I tried the arepa, I took advice from the owner and chose the Pabellon with beef, strong but balanced flavours. Jovial and relaxed atmosphere, you can feel the passion of the owners. I will definitely come back.

29/03/2024: Experience not up to expectations. I've definitely eaten better and spent less elsewhere. I really struggle to understand what the restaurant offers to justify the price. I didn't like the service. Not very empathetic and almost pissed off. I don't know what to say... it was an embarrassing evening... I will not return.

06/04/2024: Nice and welcoming place with a large outdoor area. Friendly staff available for anything. Very knowledgeable about gluten-free, in fact they explained to us which dishes were suitable for people with celiac disease. As an appetizer I took fried polenta sticks with ragù, really excellent but since they were fried with oil used for other dishes they are not gluten-free due to contamination. As a second course we ordered a risotto with pumpkin cream, mushrooms, crispy bacon and pistachio cream and then pork ribs cooked at low temperature with baked potatoes in their skins. These courses were also really excellent and both gluten-free. Practically they have almost everything gluten-free so people with celiac disease can feel absolutely calm. We will definitely be back.

03/04/2024: You simply can not get better cappuccino anywhere else in the world ......when you are the owner and musician and only you are allowed to make the coffee and put your heart and pride in making the very best cappuccino six days a week 8 hours a day , for more than 20 years that I know of , you will be the best in the world. Pastries are made almost hourly on premises. Wonderful selection and always fresh.

22/03/2024: For me it's a regular stop when I pass through Modena. A place from times gone by, chock-full of history as well as 1000 goodies. Very friendly owner and staff.
