17/03/2024: Frequento il piccolo, delizioso ristorante di Danilo Romano dal 2011 e ogni volta è, allo stesso tempo, una certezza e una piacevole sorpresa. La proposta è soprattutto di pesce con piatti originali e di eccellente qualità privilegiando prodotti stagionali e locali. Polpo alla piastra con maionese artigianale e chips di riso aromatizzate; crostoni di baccalà e cicorie selvatiche sono solo due esempi di piatti assaggiati questa volta. Poi ci sono gli insaccati di pesce, specialità della casa da provare assolutamente!

08/01/2024: Trattoria tipica Salentina, dove primeggia la genuinità dei sapori e del posto. Piatti rustici e ben curati, di certo gustosi. Semplicità dal grande sapore. Prezzi modesti. Assolutamente consigliato.

02/04/2024: Superlative! We had dinner with a sampling of truly delicious appetizers (4) and ordered the seafood linguine and the ravioli with burrata, clams and shrimp. 24/03/2024: Extraordinary restaurant, the dishes are really cooked and plentiful We were there on 04/23, I highly recommend this restaurant. With a good bottle of white wine (20€). A la carte between 15 and 18€. With a dessert and free liqueur. In total 80€. In the evening I did not have dinner.

24/03/2024: 4 stars is too much, but 3 is too little, nice evening, excellent dishes, the thing that disturbed the evening were two breaded cutlets ordered for the children and left on the plate. Very poor quality and you could tell they were frozen and of low quality. Too bad because the rest was ok.

26/03/2024: Spectacular to say the least! Brand new menu except for a few dishes such as the timeless pappardelle, prawns, almonds and burrata and saffron cream! And what can we say about the mezze sleeves with basil, scampi and crusco pepper! Contrasting but at the same time very balanced flavours! Quality raw materials and staff super kind! Advised !!!

02/11/2023: Durante le vacanze ci sono stato più volte. Nel cuore della città di Otranto. Qualità del pesce ottima. Anche i piatti preparati con gusto. Secondo il mio parere è da provare.

15/03/2024: We only had appetizers and fried food, all tasty, fresh and of excellent quality. At the end of the meal, we had a highly recommended homemade lemon granita BUO-NIS-SI-MAAAA and the final dessert, do we want to talk about it? Well find out for yourself!

05/01/2024: End of year dinner. What can I say, everything is excellent from the starters, the caponata is a delicacy, to the risotto with prawns, sublime... not to mention the roasted bonito, succulent, and the frying? Crisp!!! Everything very fresh and excellent!!! The first dinner where I ate with gusto, nothing was reheated but freshly cooked. Friendly staff and owners always present ready to satisfy any request. Suggestive location on the walls of the old city with its star vaults, in summer also a beautiful view of the sea. If you are in Gallipoli, in addition to enjoying the wonderful sea and the ancient history of the city, from the "Portolano" you can enjoy excellent seafood dishes. Highly recommended!!!

06/03/2024: We had dinner on the last evening spent in Otranto. Very nice outdoor area (although there was often a bad smell of sewage, probably because the place is located in a small alley). I have to say that the dinner and the quality of the food were good overall, I recommend the joyous trio to be divided into two. VERY negative note in my opinion, two glasses of rosé wine €16... for a bottle that wasn't worth more than €10. Obviously the prices of the glasses on the menu were not present.

04/10/2023: Very good lunch on the terrace, the starter and the seafood pasta were delicious. It's not easy to find a good restaurant among the tourist traps. Peccato di Vino is clearly worth the detour.

31/03/2024: Terrible experience is an understatement. We start by arriving at 1pm, table for 16 people, they probably thought we had booked for 16 children, because adults at such a small table was unimaginable. Very crowded place, which is why they decided to position the chairs zero cm away from each other. We were attached not only to the guests at our table but also to those at the neighboring table, practically one and the same. The appetizers arrive. Ricotta which is clearly not fresh, prawns in a cocktail sauce which are unacceptable, swordfish carpaccio as well, let's save the first impression with the fried food. They take away the appetizer and after the first exhausting wait the first course arrives (we discovered that the first and second courses would have been served at the same time for everyone so we had to adapt to the table times that started long after us): rice with shellfish; we save a few prawns just to appease our hunger and leave the rice, a pitiful tasteless glue. At the table there is a vegetarian menu, they bring fresh pasta in a sea of ​​orange sauce that we cannot initially decipher, but after tasting we understand that it is a sauce with fish (fish for a vegetarian???), which is also inedible. Second exhausting wait, the second first course arrives: ravioli with bacon and vegetables, in a sauce that is worse than those in a jar. Yet another endless wait, the second one arrives. Baby menu: cutlet and chips, completely raw meat. They make it again, out of 4 babies 3 cooked cutlets come back, after more than half an hour the fourth arrives, again raw. Adult menu: fish fillet (stringy, inedible, certainly cooked days before and with 4 cm bones, in the face of the fillet) and two very raw prawns. In all this they never took away the empty bottles from the table, we had a collection of about 20 empty ones on the skimpy table. The dishes arrived after an endless wait and you had to wait longer to get clean cutlery. Lunch finished at 5.50pm. 5 hours of lunch which was a real torture. I would only recommend this place if you decide to ruin someone's occasion. The only positive side is the helpful and polite staff. However never never never again! 45 euros per person wasted.

19/03/2024: I returned to Walter for a business dinner and I must say that for 15 years now it has never disappointed! Walter (the owner) a name a guarantee!!! I have been recommending it by word of mouth for 15 years and I reiterate it virtually as I intend to return for the next 15 years! ... tops

03/04/2024: Excellence in everything! Our culinary destination when we go to Salento. Those two champions on the staff, Giacomo, and the other whose name unfortunately I don't know; it's a pleasure to watch them work with their class.

31/03/2024: I ate for a wedding at this magnificent restaurant. We returned after years today for Easter. Always excellent and fast and impeccable service. Everyone is very kind and efficient, true professionals. Honest prices. Highly recommended

02/11/2023: Me and my girlfriend stayed here in September 2023 and we had a fantastic stay. The staff are very polite and attentive, the hotel itself has a lovely nautical theme, facilities are great and the room was comfortable and spacious. Great parking as well. The breakfast options were extensive and I loved the Quarta Caffe. We never had dinner there so cannot comment on the dinner restaurant. We particularly loved the jacuzzi on the roof. Great value for money and really easy to get to the Castello Aragonese and the centre. I recommend wholeheartedly to anyone looking for a place to stay in Otranto
