26/10/2023: Perché ci vai? Ma soprattutto perché ci torni? Scoperto alcuni anni fa per caso, il chiosco vamos per me è una tappa fissa tutte le volte che torno ad Assisi ed ho voglia di mangiare bene, rilassarmi al fresco e scambiare quattro chiacchiere in allegria. Cominciamo col dire che Mario e la sua famiglia sono di un calore, simpatia e gentilezza unici. Il posto è incantevole, un piccolo e ben curato boschetto nel cuore di Assisi a due passi dalla Basilica. E poi vogliamo parlare degli ingredienti? Mario è un maniaco della qualità, sempre alla ricerca delle materie prime migliori, un perfezionista del gusto e degli abbinamenti e ci tiene, se interessato come me, a descriverne le caratteristiche. Le pitte cosentine preparate giornalmente hanno il profumo delle cose buone fatte come un tempo, con sapienza e attenzione ancora una volta maniacali. Questa, amici miei, è passione e non semplice ristorazione.

19/10/2023: Ottimi panini e birra alla spina, si è pranzato al volo in un ambito magico, circondati da alberi secolari, gestore disponibile e simpatico.

07/12/2023: Dopo l’esperienza passata di 2 matrimoni con una cucina di livello, siamo tornati con piacere per degustare una cena voucher, in coppia, nonostante questo non solo il servizio è stato eccellente, e puntuale, ma abbiamo anche avuto modo di confermare l’opinione riguardo i patti, che sono stati uno dopo l’altro una sorpresa, di forte gusto, non banali e caratterizzati da forte identità. Complimenti a Giorgia che ha davvero una cura particolare per il cliente.

04/11/2023: We were here for our wedding and this was the most amazing stay! The castle goes above and beyond for everything. It was the most beautiful event. All our guests were enjoying their stay as well. The staff works unbelievably hard.

03/12/2023: La posizione di questo ristorante è da Oscar. Incantevole. Location molto elegante e chic con vista spettacolare su Assisi e La Rocca. L'ingresso al ristorante è di grande impatto con una bellissima cantina a vista che per chi come me è un grande appassionato di Vini puo' immediatamente gioire.Arredato con gusto ed eleganza la sala ristorante si presenta molto calda e accogliente con la presenza di opere d'arte importanti. Tutti i piatti degustati in varie occasioni sono veramente delle eccellenze di alta gastronomia. Il mio preferito è il risotto, assaggiato in molteplici versioni ma sempre di livello stellare......a mio parere il migliore in assoluto.......senza offesa per altri ristoranti stellati visitati.Complimenti allo chef Enea Barbanera per la passione e la grande raffinatezza che mette su tutti piatti oltre alla ricerca e competenza dei prodotti di qualità utilizzati in ogni pietanza. Eccellente il servizio con un Team molto professionale e attento ad ogni esigenza, che rende l'ambiente molto piacevole e ti coccola con grande savoir fare. La carta dei vini è di livello importante con grande scelta a prezzi onesti e competitivi. Complimenti sinceri e grazie per le bellissime esperienze.

03/10/2023: This Michelin restaurant isn’t worth the money they charge. We were excited to go here and booked well in advance. Only 1 of the 4 course tasting menu we had was what I would deem Michelin standard. Wine matches were also substandard and mostly £10-12 bottles. The service was good and the setting was lovely but food didn’t match. We have had significantly better meals of our travels at a more reasonable price (including one only a couple of days ago in Montepulciano which I would highly recommend).

31/03/2024: It was the second time we returned to Hotel Minerva. Family atmosphere, calm and attentive. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very close to the Basilica of St. Francis.

31/03/2024: I was there a week ago with my family: more than excellent location, helpful and kind owners, nice room with fantastic view and very good breakfast with a choice of sweet and savory. I was more than satisfied with this stay. I recommend if you come to Assisi. NOTE: I thank the owners for withholding the deposit for months to let us stay in the best (climatic) conditions in Assisi, this highlights the seriousness of the owners for the customer's well-being I will happily stay here again if I come to Assisi again

01/04/2024: In contrast to the food, which was certainly not bad, the service and friendliness were downright bad. The unfriendly manageress in particular didn't seem to mind that her customers were dissatisfied as long as she paid. If it is a bit busier in the restaurant, it is best not to eat here because, according to her, it is logical that you will have to wait MORE THAN AN HOUR for a simple pizza. We left the restaurant after a heated argument with the lady telling us it was all our problem. A differenza del cibo, che non era certo male, il servizio e la cordialità erano decisamente scadenti. La scortese direttrice, in particolare, non sembrava preoccuparsi che i suoi clienti fossero insoddisfatti, purché pagassero. The restaurant is one of a kind, it is a great choice, second to none, and the logical one is to have a tasty pie with a whole pizza. Abbiamo lasciato il restaurant dopo un'accesa discussione mentre la signora ci diceva che era un problema nostro. 12/01/2024: Had a New Year's Eve dinner in 2023. Ate a starter of bruschetta, first courses of strangozzi with porcini mushrooms and truffles, tagliatelle with wild boar, typical desserts. Excellent cuisine, normal prices. A little cramped but dignified environment. Right in the center, you can go on foot!

28/04/2024: The place is very nice but it would need some more attention... we asked the waitress some information about the dishes and she couldn't answer us.... she didn't even seem to work there.... well... anyway, the mess with cake to the very tasty text; the spaghetti cacio e pepe with black truffle were good but the truffle was n.p. , the pork fillet with caramelized onion and Montefalco reduction was dry and extremely overcooked.... let's say I expected more but sometimes clothes don't make Monaco... it's a shame because we looked for a place a little out of the way so as not to encounter the classic tourist menu...

16/03/2024: Nice place with exposed bricks. Friendly service. Mixed starter of cold cuts and cheeses and very good cake. Cappellacci gorgonzola really excellent. The maltagliati with white ragù are also good. The lamb chops weren't exceptional, but the dish ended anyway. I recommend the 20 euro bottle of Montefalco rosso. Prices perhaps slightly high.

03/01/2024: Se cercate qualitá e i sapori veri della tradizione umbra dovete venire a provare la torta al testo.. noi ne abbiamo provate 3 Prosciutto crudo, pecorino al tartufo e salsa al tartufo Salame di chinghiale, salsa fichi e noci e caciotta al rosmarino E infine lardo tagliato fine fine, salsina alle cipolle caramellate e zucchine Tutte spettacolari.. ancora grazie

28/12/2023: Prodotti ottimi, prezzi accessibili e tanta gentilezza e cortesia dei due ragazzi dietro il bancone. Da provare se siete ad Assisi, torneremo sicuramente.

04/04/2024: We have tried both the rooms and the restaurant in countless circumstances and we have always found great professionalism towards customers; cuisine and comfort of the highest quality. In particular we would like to point out the courtesy and education of all the staff. Even for this aspect alone, it is an experience that is absolutely recommended.

Maria degli Angeli. The atmosphere you breathe, thanks to the courtesy and kindness of its owners and managers, make your stays unique experiences of life and sharing. The standard of the food is excellent as is the accommodation in the rooms, carefully furnished and perfectly maintained in all their aspects. From the Cantico it is possible to easily reach on foot or, for those relatively distant, by taxi or bus (available in the immediate vicinity), all the places dear to Franciscanism and art. We recommend everyone, for the good of body and mind, a stop at the Cantico.....you will be enraptured....and you will be the one to say it.....Seeing is believing!!
