17/11/2023: Ritornare alla locanda Toscano è sempre un piacere.La chef Caterina Malerba riesce perfettamente ad esprimere nei suoi piatti un giusto equilibrio tra colori , consistenza e sapori.Da segnalare tagliolini di nero di seppia con gamberi e crema di caviale di arancia. Personale gentile e motivato.

15/03/2024: We were guests of Albergo Kavani during our recent trip to Pizzo Calabro and were extremely satisfied with the experience. The location of the hotel is good, located near the splendid Costa degli Dei and a short distance from the historic center of Pizzo. The welcome from the staff was warm and professional from the moment of check-in. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The modern decor and attention to detail made our stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast included in the rate was varied and plentiful, with a selection of fresh and delicious products. We also appreciated the helpfulness of the staff in providing advice on places to visit and local attractions. Overall, we highly recommend Albergo Kavani to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Pizzo Calabro. We will definitely be back in the future!

08/10/2023: Even though we were guests for only one night and it was in mid-October and therefore at the end of the season we received unique hospitality, the rooms were spotless and well finished and the owners were helpful and very kind.

30/03/2024: Great atmosphere and delicious pizza! I definitely recommend il Porticato.

07/03/2024: 70% pizza black underneath because burnt and therefore bitter, gummy mozzarella. I smell cigarette smoke at the checkout. Not recommended.

07/10/2023: We really enjoyed eating at La Cuocarina during our holiday in Pizzo, in fact we came back several times.We ate in and also used the take away option. The ladies there were so nice and friendly and the food was delicious!

26/12/2023: Terrible experience. Arriving at 9pm, they let us sit. After 15 minutes of nothing, and after asking twice, we finally got at least water and glasses (it wasn't even set). After half an hour, the waiter takes the orders, and only then tells us that there was at least an hour and a half wait for the pizza, when they could very well have warned us at the beginning. In the end, the food (which arrived at 11pm) wasn't all that great. Prices are overall average

27/08/2023: Everything extremely fantastic! Perfect and impeccable service, a culture of their vast choice of beers that is impressive to say the least, sandwiches of astonishing quality, just think that just to eat their sandwich again after 2 days I drove 100km again!

26/09/2023: Ordered two first courses, one of which was prawns and courgettes, I don't recommend it at all because the frozen prawns, courgettes made with a pseudo liquid cream watered down by the water not drained from the pasta. The other was Tropeana style, with a little onion and a little canned tuna, among other things, so for foreigners, as they say, everything goes well but not for us Italians. And then the price is not cheap. So unfortunately we went to the wrong place. I don't recommend.

21/08/2023: Excellent dinner at this beach. Low prices, good food, large and pleasant facility. A bit of disorganization and inexperience in the room, but repaid by the friendliness of the waiters.

08/10/2023: We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We visited on a bustling Sunday evening and enjoyed watching the community gather and friends meet up. My husband ordered a panini of meatball and eggplant. It was more of a calzone style. It was out of this world delicious. I ordered the carbonara which was very good although I missed the fresh parsley and black pepper. It was good enough that it didn’t warrant a complaint to the server. The house wine and salad was very nice. We recommend.

04/02/2024: I have been coming back to this place for many years because it is not posh and glitzy as you often see around, but actually clean, courteous and with honest prices. Open for 3 generations it continues to be a great place to stay.
