05/04/2024: A fabulous experience, Mr. Giovanni gave us excellent advice, excellent food, the various types of pasta were produced by them, I ate the orecchiette with a particular sauce, fabulous, even the first one eaten by my wife was excellent and plentiful, the digestive offered us an amaro made by them, very very good.

Lunch with friends, we were looking for local cuisine and this place was recommended to us.
Outside terrace with splendid view of the Gulf of Manfredonia.
Inside, a rustic and welcoming environment, very tidy and clean.
We are immediately greeted by the staff and served.
Large menu with sea and land dishes.
Very fresh fish, unique flavor and generous portions.
We are really satisfied with this place, we will be back

25/02/2024: Ristorante collocato proprio di fronte alla Basilica. Ideale per un pasto con menù del giorno turistici con 3/4 alternative per primi e secondi piatti. Pietanze classiche di terra della cucina casalinga pugliese, magari un po' scontate ma sane e preparate bene. Servizio veloce e costo modesto proporzionato alle portate.
20/02/2024: We went to eat in this restaurant with my club...le Aquile del Matese.....we were very happy with the hospitality, the cuisine and the courtesy of the work group...everything was excellent...we are we had a great time... we will definitely return... and I recommend it to anyone who wants to eat well in a characteristic environment.... congratulations

Such a delightful evening at Li Jalantuùmene!!
Everything was absolutely delicious, the products were fresh and every dish was very tasty! The wine selection was great.
The chef is very friendly and passionate and his wife is absolutely charming!
They definitely deserve one star ⭐️
24/03/2024: The slightly higher price for the food, compared to "catch the tourists"-restaurants, is justified. The food is really good and the chef very friendly. You'll find a lot of vegetarian options in the menu. If you're looking for good food (and if you additionall, maybe, are vegetarian), this is the right place for you.

29/03/2024: Nice place, cheap and the food is very good.
20/03/2024: Say that paying 32 euros to eat a dozen slices of cured meats, a plate of ham with parmesan (which seems like the slicer was defective considering the size of the slices, all very small and broken), a plate of chips, 4 bruschettas with tomato it's theft. But of course, if I had been alone, the portions were there too (not the price)... Too bad we were 3 people and we had to touch things to see who had to eat them. Furthermore, outside there was a lady inviting you to come in. When we asked if they also did aperitifs (since the place presents itself as a bar-restaurant), the lady replied yes. Too bad that once inside we found ourselves sitting at a restaurant table. They didn't make focaccia, they didn't do aperitifs and we had to shell out 32 euros for starvation portions. Never again.

01/01/2024: We had lunch in this restaurant with really good typical local dishes. We left well satisfied and the staff was also very friendly. I was also really struck by the variety of fine wines and spirits. The prices are very fair. We will be back.
28/12/2023: Prezzi altissimi. Non è accettabile spendere 50 euro a testa in una Trattoria Tipica del posto. Sarebbe opportuno consigliare pochi piatti veloci e di qualità. Abbiamo aspettato 35 minuti per un antipasto. È importante, in questi posti, proporre anche vino locale in caraffa di qualità (nero di troia etc).

11/03/2024: Local in the center of Monte Sant'Angelo, a stone's throw from the Church. Stumbled upon it by chance on a Sunday for lunch. Small but well kept place. Friendly owners. My disappointment is due to two things:
1. among others we ordered a slice of veal (cost 17 EUR), cooked rare... I was presented with a thin slice of veal (obviously not rare... it wouldn't have been possible) cut into strips... .the Tagliata is something else...
2. Not serious but it made me feel unwell... The water is served in glass jugs, perfect, nothing special... I am asked: do you want more water? Yes... the jug is taken away (too bad it wasn't empty) and then brought back full.... but I pay for 2 bottles of water... a nonsense that however bothered me.
Result: recommended? NI
07/02/2024: A beautiful place a few steps from the church of San Michele. We had lunch with an extensive and truly delicious tourist menu. Excellent quality grilled meat, first courses made by expert hands, in particular cicatelli, mussels and rocket. Clean, well-maintained environment. Welcomed I presume by the very good and kind owners

04/02/2024: Ci siamo trovati in 2 quasi per caso… l’enoteca risulta molto carina vicino al santuario; i proprietari sono accoglienti e gentili, spiegano subito che il loro tipo di cucina è molto slow… direi veramente molto lenta, anche se tutto sommato la terrazza e l’offerta culinaria risulta accettabile!

22/11/2023: A beautiful mezzanine room for the restaurant, with bar and pastry shop on the ground floor.
The fixed menu is very good at a super competitive price.
Reading negative reviews about the service, which seemed excellent to us and other customers, and the impossibility of splitting a 22 euro menu says a lot about those who go around the world and should instead stay on the sofa.
Traditional and tasty cuisine.

01/09/2023: In una giornata di grande calura estiva abbiamo scelto la Foresta Umbra per godere del buon cibo e di un pò di refrigerio.
Carina la location, buono il cibo, poco attento e non ospitale il personale.
Esperienza gradevole ma non da ritornare.
23/08/2023: Immersa nella natura al fresco dei faggi della Foresta Umbra vi è questo splendido locale.
Cucina ottima con ingredienti freschi e di qualita. Prezzi discreti.
Il tutto condito dal fresco degli alberi e con tanto spazio per i bambini.

06/11/2023: Servizio accoglienza e ai tavoli , ottima! Antipasto Rustico e primi piatti buoni ed abbondanti! Posizione eccezionale , affianco al parcheggio comunale, il quale consente di essere a pochi metri dal centro storico e del Santuario di San Michele Arcangelo!
15/10/2023: Locale molto accogliente , con una vista stupenda. Cucina buona, con un congruo rapporto qualità prezzo. Il problema, nel nostro caso, è stato il servizio. Sono stati cortesi, ma non è possibile prendere le ordinazioni non rispettando l'ordine di arrivo. Tre tavoli arrivati dopo di noi hanno ordinato prima, ovviamente sono stati serviti prima. E mentre loro erano praticamente al secondo, noi dopo quasi 50 minuti eravamo in attesa delle bruschette di antipasto...

09/11/2023: We were a group of motorcyclists passing through and stumbled upon this restaurant.
We took the tourist menu for 20 euros plus a few extras and we ate very well, home-made cuisine without too many frills and the staff was friendly and helpful.
29/10/2023: A crowded day in Mont Sant'Angelo. We had to wait at the parking lot gate for a space to open it, and as we walked to the Church of San Michele, all the restaurants were either closed or full. We visited the church and then the baptistry, and between them is La Caravella. No tourists there. Only Italian families. No credit cards--only cash. The tunnel-like entry rich with local culture. The food is hearty and the local wine is robustly red.
I ordered the orecchiette with marinara sauce. My carnivore husband had the mixed grilled of sausage, lamb, and pork. We share a plate of the local spaghetti (thicker than other spaghetti--almost a scialatelli) and a liter of wine. The food was fresh, delicious, and well priced. The service was fast and efficient.
