03/04/2024: My wife and I had already been there a few weeks ago to eat pizza (very good), and today we wanted to try the restaurant, choosing the tasting menu. What can I say, carefully prepared, exquisite and spectacular dishes. Truly excellent. We are happy with the choice of restaurant. The chef, a young guy, very smart, creative and with a great desire to delight the customers' palates. We will return. I advise!

Delicious food, top cocktails, polite and friendly staff who are always attentive, not to mention the great Peppe Failla (owner) who is always super friendly, ready to put you at ease!
A humble environment where you can feel at home without any difficulty!
I've been going to this place for 4 years, a real guarantee.

08/01/2024: Thanks to the suggestion of Emanuela, owner of a wine bar in Piazza Armerina, today I stopped for lunch with some American customers.
What can I say, a wonderful surprise, La Gorda welcomes you in a simple way and makes you feel at home, a wide choice of natural labels and chef Mario prepares very good dishes of local cuisine revisited I believe from experiences around the planet.
I'll be back soon with friends, thanks.

12/01/2024: I honestly don't agree with the fact (which has happened more than once) that I book specifying that I need a high chair for a small child, I arrive on time and the high chair isn't there and it's always finished
Given that it was December 26th so the room was full of at least 300 people
When I ask for an explanation the answer is the following:
We only have 10 high chairs so it's not possible to please everyone
Yes but I specified it during the booking....
Moral of the story, the uncomfortable child was unable to eat and consequently so was I because he rightly had to be in my arms because obviously he couldn't be in the chair.

We ask for two wines by the glass to have an aperitif, the only wine you can take is PROSECCO!!!
Absurd... given that the display is full of bottles of all kinds.

Obviously we left without consuming.

09/01/2024: Small family-run restaurant, comfortable environment with excellent dishes, especially fish-based. The menu has a variety of land and sea with fixed price formulas, I recommend the fish as one of the best in the area. The house wine is also recommended. Fairly affordable prices.
13/12/2023: Very nice restaurant very close to the square, the environment is simple, informal and quite welcoming. Also convenient for business lunches and dinners. We waited a bit for lunch to be served but overall we ate well. Average prices. Advise
