25/03/2024: Small rustic place and very simple, I would say characteristic compared to the context of where it is located! He is simple, friendly, friendly and knows how to advise! we ate a mixed starter rated 10, then portions/tastings of asparagus risotto rated 8, pasta with garlic 10, penne with rabbit 9, peposo 10, duck with orange 10, straccetti 8, mixed desserts 8 but there was something left over because we were bloated given that we did encores! The beauty is the rustic part, flat glasses and coffee cups (with mocha) each different from the other. Personally, simplicity and goodness are what I'm looking for! I highly recommend it but I also recommend booking because there are few places! We asked for the estimate and at the table between drinking and eating we thought we would spend 55/60... We spent 45

We are on holiday in firenze en found this Pearl on Michelin, As chef of Belgium restaurant Oltra i can say We had a wonderful experience toninght! A lovely journey with some local products of firenze. Thank you chef for the tastefull menu, also the specials with the sprays of aroma's, And also a big thanks to the hostess for the fantastis service and big thanks tot the wine sommelier for the explanations about the wines! Big Thanks !!!

26/02/2024: Siamo arrivati in questo stupendo luogo per caso e devo dire WOW!! È di una bellezza da togliere il fiato. Struttura moderna, pulita e ben curata nei minimi dettagli, personale qualificato gentile e attento alle esigenze del cliente. Cucina di alta qualità con prodotti locali d’eccellenza. Il ristorante Volpenera fa parte dell’ agriturismo Salvadonica che, dal vederlo dal fuori, mantiene la storicità propria della zona del Chianti. Non avendo usufruito dell’ agriturismo ma solo del ristorante per il pranzo della domenica sicuramente ritorneremo per apprezzare ancora di più la bellezza e il fascino di questo posto. Super consigliato!!

26/03/2024: They have behaved phenomenally, even with the language problem. The waitress spoke a little Spanish and made us feel very comfortable. We were with a baby and they offered us a chair without asking for anything. Maximum welcoming and super friendly. Recommended. Grazie mille to Blu Bar Bistrot.

31/03/2024: Very welcoming renovated place.... YOU EAT LIKE GOD.... the only inconvenient thing is parking.... there is no parking nearby.

06/04/2024: Characteristic of the place are the dishes cooked with ingredients generally produced nearby, i.e. the so-called KM 0 (in the menu for each one the km from the producer is indicated). Well cooked and balanced dishes, good red wine (one of the cheapest bottles recommended by the waiter), a Chianti from the San Gimignano area. You can also eat outdoors under a large loggia, which is covered and heated in this period; ample parking available. Possibility to purchase consortium products, EVO oil, cheeses, cured meats, bread, etc. Prices perhaps slightly high for the service offered (cover charge is charged, equipment with placemat...), but the quality of the ingredients must be considered. Desserts tasted very good, menu limited in choice but can satisfy everyone.

31/03/2024: We were there for Christmas lunch. Super great place, in fact we will be back on time. Quiet environment, delicious and unique dishes. Very precise and helpful staff. Parking space right in front. I forgot: taste their oil on a slice of bread and then you'll tell me. The Christmas menu is always at the top, everything tasty and perfect. Compliments. Update: also for the Easter lunch Mr. Lorenzo has prepared a truly special and very good menu. The dishes I chose, poached egg.., pici with Cinta Senese ragù...., roast lamb...., Easter colomba from the Rigacci pastry shop with oil ice cream.... . All very good. Always perfect service, very friendly staff. And we will always come back... Good work. Francis.

21/01/2024: Zero km and quality products, I advise every Sancasciano to buy eggs only there because they are real eggs from our country. Over the years, always very kind and friendly.+

16/10/2023: We were there for a destination wedding and took over the whole place. The food was lovely and the wine was reasonably priced. The views are amazing. This place is in the middle of nowhere. We were allocated a villa up the hill(1km ish). We didn't have a car and that was a mistake. You need a car if you are staying in the villas. The road was tough on cars, our roommates got a puncher. Impossible for rolling luggage. We were informed that the resort will be open next year and then closed for 15 months for renovations. Hopefully they improve the road and invest in some golf carts!

24/09/2023: Location molto bella, porzioni tentativo...gourmet Qualità e cottura della carne da pizzeria... Dispiace esprimere questa valutazione ma dopo essere stati fatti accomodare in terrazza nonostante fosse palese ...ci fosse aria poco piacevole mangiando. Ci ha stupito vedere così poca professionalità sia in cucina che nel servizio. Ragazzi che servono sorridenti ma con una gentilezza artificiale e sicuramente non professionisti Quando si ha un menù con quei prezzi...nel vino addirittura folli Viene da dire solo Vergognatevi

17/03/2024: Ristorante che si conferma eccellenza locale, menù articolato e di livello così come il servizio. Pici all'acciugata spettacolari! Ottimi anche i dessert. Unica nota negativa, menù non adattissimo ai bambini (magari un paio di primi "da bimbi" sarebbero sufficienti 🙂), ma nel complesso ottima esperienza come sempre!

18/02/2024: Il Cavaliere di Gabbiano è un piccolo ristorante nel Chianti che offre, in una location immersa nel verde dei vigneti, una cucina contemporanea di buon livello con un menu’ non molto ampio ma con piatti interessanti come gli ottimi raviolini ripieni di coniglio alla cacciatora in brodo di patate arrosto. Di livello anche la bistecca molto tenera. Prezzi non bassi. La carta dei vini e’ ampia e non offre solo etichette legate al territorio con ricarichi a volte un po’ alti. Servizio veloce e professionale. Una sola nota; quando si ordina un bistecca che si paga al chilo bisognerebbe comunicarne preventivamente il peso ai clienti.

14/02/2024: Bellissima location personale disponibile anche se alcuni di loro poco esperti ed attenti ai dettagli sul servizio. La serata di San Valentino è stata organizzata molto bene ma un pochino troppo lenta l’uscita del secondo piatto a menu fisso. Tutto comunque buonissimo e atmosfera molto elegante. Proprietari cortesi ed onesti.

13/02/2024: One of the last Tuscan shops still active, one of the last businesses that offer quality, courtesy and a direct customer/owner relationship. The baked goods are excellent, among which the traditional Schiacciata with oil stands out, to be filled as desired. Really honest prices.
