07/04/2024: Negative experience we wanted to eat fried calamari and prawns with a view of the sea!!! the location appears dirty and poorly maintained, service with two unprepared and intrusive waitresses without knowledge of the products with clothing that is not at all suitable and unhygienic. We order the two fried dishes and they bring one with 5 rings of squid and 4 poor quality prawns fried in some strange oil to our son they bring him a cutlet with chips after 1 hour without a crowd in the place but before eating without bread on the table dirty cutlery

17/03/2024: Disappointing Sunday lunch with terrible service. We booked as a group of seven with 2 children. Initially quick and kind in serving the children's dishes, but as for us... we took the appetizers which consist of really poor dishes and served very slowly. But the worst comes with the first courses (we ordered them all together immediately). The wait was very long and we also noticed other impatient customers. A SINGLE first course arrives after quite a while without even having cleared the dirty plates of the previous appetizers! The only diner eats the entire plate alone while we, exasperated, ask the waitress who seemed lost and awkwardly tried to justify herself. At this point we ask for the bill to leave and another part of the first courses arrives (not all). We leave everything and go away and we also find on the receipt the dishes that never arrived which we obviously ask to be refunded. Very bad experience. I can't imagine what could happen in the middle of summer.

20/01/2024: Abbiamo pranzato in famiglia in questo posto a noi molto caro. A Serapo abbiamo trascorso la maggior parte delle nostre vacanze estive e in questa giornata, con ottimo cibo e una veduta favolosa, abbiamo ricordato i più bei momenti della nostra famiglia. Il personale è gentilissimo e i servizi sono ottimi. Una giornata indimenticabile.

02/04/2024: Seafront restaurant, welcoming and helpful staff and quality food. Everything is fresh and the portions are generous. Excellent value for money. You can also easily find parking in the area on the blue lines. The tables outside are rather adapted and if the place is full, the service is quite slow, especially on requests.
01/04/2024: Good morning and happy Easter to everyone, today we went to eat at Adriano's by the sea and we can confirm that we made an excellent choice.
We took the fixed Easter menu consisting of a seafood appetizer, fusilli (very good) with seafood (white and not with sauce) or fisherman's rice, then grilled fish or mixed fried fish and as side dishes chips or salad then we continued with lemon sorbet and finally coffee. I can guarantee that it always has quality products and good service.
We met Adriano at the seaside before Covid during a trip to the Gaeta lights and we already had a good time there despite an unexpected event happening to my father-in-law (a waiter passing by had dropped a bit of sauce on his jacket and Adriano himself the owner told us to take it to the dry cleaners and send him the invoice and in no time he made the bank transfer)
Today, remembering this, we had a laugh with the same guy who I always compliment for the quality and speed of service.
For those looking for a restaurant in Gaeta this is the right choice.

19/02/2024: Good pizzeria offering a large choice of pizzas and fried foods. The starters are very good and according to tradition. The pizzas are also very good. Also good service and pleasant environment. Convenient for the large car park located outside. Definitely recommended.

La Cantina di Ciccillo

24/03/2024: Behind the seafront, among the alleys, the cloisters and the buildings annexed to the Cathedral, this small wine shop/restaurant offers small emotions, in a refined and elegant environment created in a cellar that incorporates a section of the Gaeta city walls, an oil mill and a splendid Roman underground cistern.
These wonders, integrated with care and respect in the internal room, well illustrated by the young owner, would be enough to offer the maximum rating to Cantina di Ciccillo, but there is also the cuisine, organized around a few appetizing proposals, balanced in flavors and made with love and passion.
Everything was wonderful, I'll be back.
23/03/2024: An incredible experience! We chose "la cantina di ciccillo" to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday in an original way in Gaeta! Not only did they show us availability and courtesy from the first moment, but they organized everything down to the smallest detail, creating a one-of-a-kind party. Our guests were impressed, in love with the local cuisine, the suggestive venue and how the entire lunch was managed, from the appetizers to the cake, prepared outside in the characteristic alley.
A special thanks to Lucia and her team for giving us this magnificent party!!!

23/09/2023: Oh! Finalmente! Un ristorante sulla costa pontina che va oltre la banalità di una cucina scontata. In questa sala, in passato, ho cenato altre volte, quando sul ristorante svettavano altre bandiere. Torno a cenare a Gaeta, dopo tanto tempo, soltanto perché di Dolia mi sono arrivati diversi segnali positivi. Ed infatti, non sono rimasto deluso. Menù degustazione: abbiamo preso quello da quattro portate alle quali, volendo, va poi aggiunto il dessert. Una cucina che non vuole stupire a tutti i costi. Piatti legati alla tradizione rivisitati senza però andare a parare chissà dove. In tutti i piatti c’è sempre stata una spezia che ci ha stupito, dando un sapore nuovo, insolito ed estremamente gradevole alla pietanza. Spezie anche esotiche che impreziosivano il tutto. Scopro poi che in cucina hanno la consulenza dello chef Francesco Apreda che è uno dei più grandi esperti di spezie. E le usa in modo sapiente. Straordinari i ravioli di mare e l’altro primo che assaggiato, i capellini al sugo di spannocchie e trombolotto (il limone di Sermoneta). Ha servito a tavola una ragazza molto preparata e cortese ed un giovane etiope, se ricordo bene, altrettanto gentile e cordiale. Ci torneremo (giugno o settembre prossimi), quando Gaeta riserva ai turisti la grande emozione di trovare un posto dove parcheggiare.
21/09/2023: Locale accogliente e curato nei minimi particolari, la proprietaria Elena sommelier molto professionale, è al tempo stesso una persona dotata di una grande sensibilità, che mette a proprio agio gli ospiti. Cibo superlativo e preparato con grande maestria dallo chef stellato. Siamo stati io e mia moglie per l'anniversario dei 31 anni di matrimonio e possiamo affermare di non essere mai stati meglio. Grazie ragazzi ci avete emozionati e deliziati..... Continuate così.....
