04/04/2024: The chef decides what to eat without even giving the opportunity to read the menu... what's more, there were people missing at the table and he wanted us to decide for them. Even the bill was too salty!!!

23/03/2024: We had a wonderful view of the small harbor and Isola Madre. The meal was excellent; the cuisine is extremely creative without being over-the-top. We ate soft potato gnocchi with a cheese sauce made with Aosta Valley cheese and black truffles. The trio from the lake, trout tartare with mountain blueberry sauce, corregone with lemony grated fruit puree and eel with sashimi and chutney was a real treat. The squab in a great sauce was excellent, as was the turbot with kale and truffle sauce. The sage sorbet and the meringue with rosemary extract - delicious, to put in. The same applies to the sorbet with meringue, a mousse made from American strawberries from a 100-year-old plant. An exceptional meal in a very pleasant atmosphere. The price is not cheap, but reasonable.

29/03/2024: We were a little afraid because of the very different reviews, but we are incredibly happy that we chose the Bolongaro. The service was incredibly warm, especially to our son. The food was sooooo delicious - we had 2 different pizzas as well as a small penne carbonara for our son and dessert. We can recommend everyone to visit Bolongaro and will come again ourselves. Probably tomorrow ;)

24/03/2024: Arriving for lunch, after having shown us a seat, we decided to order two pizzas. A spicy salami, peppers and onion and one with zola, onion, fior di latte and sausage. After a while of waiting the pizzas finally arrived but to our surprise they were wrong as the ingredients were missing. Surprise, instead of sausage, ragù was added complete with sautéed meat. We turned to the waiter who went inside the restaurant without saying a word to us so after a quarter of an hour we decided to go inside, pay for the drink and leave. One of the employees or the owner justified himself by saying that the sausage had run out. I think that if you don't have a product you communicate it immediately, not substituting and putting whatever you like as you like. NEVER AGAIN!

18/08/2023: Classica Casa del Popolo , una delle poche rimaste sul territorio . Ambiente esterno con tavoli di pietra molto rilassante e fresco . Gestione famigliare professionale , ma molto amichevole. Carta con il giusto numero di piatti alternati tra carne e pesce. Tra le proposte assaggiate menzione di merito per il lardo ossolano servito nel tagliere assieme a salame e prosciutto , accompagnati da gnocco fritto. Non male la pasta al pesto servita in porzione camionista , molto buono il fritto misto calamari e gamberi proposto in grande porzione a un prezzo civile. Vino della casa e qualche altra bevanda per digerire il malloppo , il tutto a 30 euro a testa il che ci ha condotto a una seconda visita a poca distanza , anche questa chiusa favorevolmente e alle stesse condizioni . Prezzo/qualità e servizio al meglio per questa tipologia di locale . Da visitare
