05/05/2024: We went to Anime and Core, but unfortunately the experience did not live up to our expectations. The main problem was the waiting time: between the starter and the first course we waited more than 45 minutes. We don't know if there were any problems in the kitchen that evening, but the service was decidedly slow. We had asked for information on the rustic appetizer and the explanation we were given was rather vague: "it contains various typical things and then cured meats and cheeses". In the end we were served a plate with eight mini portions, which at 15 euros seemed excessive for the quantity and variety offered. The only dish that really impressed us was the roasted octopus on potato cream, which at 18 euros was perhaps a little expensive but of good quality (at least this one, recommended). As for the first courses, the portions were generous, but the flavor didn't impress us. The overall price seemed high compared to the quality/quantity of the food and the service received. We reported our disappointment regarding the starter and the response we got was unprofessional: "well, what do you want, it's a dish". We did not persist with further disappointments precisely to avoid other obvious answers. We probably weren't lucky, but our experience was disappointing. Let's hope it was just a "bad day" for the restaurant, but for the moment I don't feel like recommending it.

24/02/2024: We stumbled upon it almost by chance, a restaurant away from the centre, we found very fresh fish, I recommend the roundup of appetizers and you've already had dinner, good white wine in bulk, friendly and helpful staff. I will definitely go back if I have the chance.

02/03/2024: Eravamo indecisi se tornare a Catania o fermarci a Giarre per pranzare, così cercando su TripAdvisor un ristorantino ci siamo imbattuti in Gnam Gnam. È stata una piacevole scoperta, posto molto genuino e familiare. Perché vi consiglio Gnam Gnam? Sicuramente per il pesce freschissimo e per il mitico Fabio! Abbiamo preso : - una spigola alla griglia per nostro figlio (pesce scelto dal banco davanti a noi) - una pasta gamberetti e zucchine, davvero davvero buona - una frittura mista del giorno (alici e calamari). Tutto davvero ottimo (incluso il pane, fresco e morbido da panificio nostrano). Oltre il cibo, Gnam Gnam è un'esperienza. Quello che ti colpisce è la familiarità e la genuinità di tutto. Senza troppi formalismi si viene accolti e con la massima disponibilità e flessibilità puoi decidere cosa mangiare. Se passate da Giarre e avete voglia di pesce VERO e FRESCO fateci un salto.

01/03/2024: Entrare in una Gastronomia di pesce dove il titolare ti fa sentire a casa, non è sicuramente un’esperienza da sottovalutare, Fabio con la sua esperienza poliglotta e la sua spontaneità, entra sin da subito in sintonia con il cliente. Gentilissimo ed educato, consigliere di piatti prelibati, offre una vasta scelta fra antipasti, primi, secondi e bibite, ove occorre complimentarsi per il suo magnifico vino rosso, che scalda il cuore anche nelle giornate più fredde, esso è infatti prodotto dallo stesso Fabio, così come il digestivo “verde”, ottimo prodotto casalingo alle foglie d’alloro. E allora che dire? Non mi resta che augurare a tutti voi di camminare per le vie di Giarre ed imbattervi in una piccola perla del Mediterraneo come la Gastronomia di Fabio. Da parte mia, posso solo dirvi che, sono sicura di tornarci alla mia prossima capatina a Giarre! Grazie di cuore Fabio per la tua gentilezza e professionalità 😊

10/03/2024: All perfect. Very nice place, very friendly and helpful staff and above all excellent food from the starters continuing with the first courses and then also the second courses. The desserts are also excellent. Compliments. I highly recommend it.

07/03/2024: We went on recommendation to this really nice restaurant with a view of the sea and lots of lemon trees, we expected more from the starter consisting of 7 really miserable fish dishes, one of which was a caponata, for €25 (starter only: including water and sorbet in a coffee glass) we thought the quantity and variety of the dishes was small.

07/04/2024: The sushi full of rice vinegar, we returned home with strong stomach acid. Knowing how to make sushi is an important step before bombarding Catania with gigantic billboards.

11/03/2024: Apart from the food and the location which I like... I would always go to this place for the very polite staff and the girls who are of an unparalleled sweetness and helpfulness. They know how to advise and are very friendly in doing so. Dealing with customers is not easy, especially if it is done with a smile.
