05/04/2024: Small and familiar place but tremendously pleasant. Excellent service with good quality dishes and off-menu suggestions of the day. The boss is approachable and shares fantastic recommendations on the less touristy areas of Syracuse that are worth visiting.

03/04/2024: We were encouraged to book this place for a dinner by good reviews however sadly it turned out to be a big disappointment. The only good think was the waitress’s service who tried to keep up alone with all orders. Given the fact that we were in Italian place, food was far from being acceptable, you can find cheap positions but even the more expensive positions don’t meet expectations. We paid 100 EUR for a really disappointing dinner, we didn’t have much expectations but surprisingly the standard was way lower than advised on google or TripAdvisor. Please keep in mind that if you want to have decent food, it’s not the place.

Very fresh fish, delicious homemade pasta, great choice of wines, dream atmosphere and extraordinary service thanks to the very sweet and competent owner. The desserts are also absolutely recommended. Value for money - price more than correct. Very good!

02/04/2024: When I read "you eat very well" I realize that many people don't understand anything about food and that they certainly only eat sandwiches. A wild boar ragù which was a horrible watered down sauce, at an absurd price and a mixed roast which was just hilarious. For two first courses (inedible), two second courses, a small coke and one of water €60.00🤦‍♀️ P.S Hire more staff when you have everything booked, which if they are paid well is available, I assure you. The guys in the room (2) were destroyed but still good. Congratulations only to you.

01/04/2024: On the advice of friends, I booked this place for Easter Monday lunch... We ordered ravioli with wild boar ragù and we received 4 ravioli with a very watery sauce and a meatball on top. All tasteless. We ask the guy in the restaurant, who is really kind, for explanations, we point out that that dish based on sauce and water is not worth the price they ask but that above all it is not wild boar ragù. After a while he returns mortified, bringing us a taste of just wild boar ragù (which was actually the same sauce with a flattened meatball as a ragù), thus confirming that our ravioli were with the sauce. Then comes the barbecue, nothing exceptional (as someone from Catania I'm used to something else) but still decent. It's a shame because from the reviews and comments of friends who had already been here in the past, expectations were high. The only applause goes to the waiters who, despite being fewer in number than the guests present, managed to manage the needs in an optimal manner. Really good.

10/03/2024: The little restaurant is typically island; My family and I felt at home. Friendly and accommodating staff; fresh fish-based food, really expertly cooked. Average costs and quality dishes. We will definitely return! I recommend it to all those who love good Sicilian cuisine.

05/04/2024: Food is nice, location is great -away from the turistic caos. BUT... After lunch (only after!) we are informed that we can only pay cash as the card machine is broken! WHAT???? Why not informing us BEFORE... WHY??? I had no cash.... I had invited a colleague... he finally had to pay.... A very difficult and embarrassing situation which has ruined the entire experience....

04/03/2024: Abbiamo scelto questa trattoria perché, passando dal mercato nell'ora di pranzo, abbiamo notato che il loro fritto al cuoppio era ben cucinato ..... per cui la sera abbiamo potuto degustarlo e dobbiamo dire che era veramente ottimo, come pure la pasta al ragù di pesce e le melanzane. Abbiamo trovato un ambiente familiare, cortesia e simpatia del personale, prezzo nella norma per cui ..... altamente consigliato e meta del ns. prossimo viaggio.

31/03/2024: Typical place in Syracuse, we had lunch outside, tables arranged along one of the streets leading to the Duomo. Abundant portions, caponata with swordfish and traditional first course based on anchovies and breadcrumbs, good and very tasty. Fast service.

01/04/2024: Good location. Unfortunately the atmosphere is sad. No windows, tiles, plastic chairs. Very unsuitable for the prices. Staff friendly, if a bit careless. The food is overpriced for the quality. My local tuna was thin and overcooked with only a few tomatoes and rocket leaves on the side for 18 euros. My wife's tomato soup with the mussels was great.

26/12/2023: Very characteristic restaurant, pizzeria, furnished in maritime style, a stone's throw from the sea, in the seaside area of ​​Fontane Bianche. Fish dishes, but not only, really tasty, very fresh and quality products. The flavors of the pizza are diversified, enough to satisfy the most demanding palates. Desserts are also served in the restaurant, including the prized ricotta cannoli with chopped pistachios. Excellent quality-price relation. The venue has parking, anti-Covid regulations are fully respected. Highly recommended!

31/10/2023: Unfortunately one of the worst experience in Sicily. We booked a table but we didn’t get the chance to dine at the restaurant, we’ve been made to wait for almost half an hour after our booking. They kept saying we were next to be seated but they kept letting pass other people in front of us. We went home very hungry and we couldn’t dine anywhere cause it was very late. We definitely not recommend to go here.

07/04/2024: Rudeness, poor service and inadequate management characterized the evening only for having pointed out a disproportionate wait for the delivery of the pizza. Teases from the staff and a blatant "Goodbye" said with pure derision by a kid who came out of the kitchen and which the waiters echoed in a decidedly unprofessional manner. I will certainly never help my friends or family increase their earnings again. When you manage a commercial business, especially of this kind and with a decades-long history, you must understand that poor services are responded to with professionalism and not with mockery, otherwise it would be necessary to change jobs!
