25/03/2024: A nice restaurant where you can eat very well with excellent service. Menu ranging from Carnia to fish from our beach! There is also a well-stocked cellar and a nice selection of wines too.

24/03/2024: Terrible experience. In a group of 8 people, 4 were ill after a tuna tartare and pasta with ventogole/busara. Among other things, three of these 4 people asked that the first course of pasta be brought back as the pasta had arrived overcooked and tasted of nothing. Beyond food poisoning, really low quality. Pasta with clams and busara which only had the name of fish, given that there were 4 clams I could barely count. Despite the owner's willingness to make up for the first courses, food poisoning is absolutely not acceptable. Send send

05/04/2024: A real gem facing the sea. Room with attention to every detail, large panoramic terrace, partly verandahed so as to benefit from the view even while staying warm. I ate some scialatielli made by them with scorpion fish. Perfect dish, without many sauces, so you can savor the taste of the fish. Nice setting and excellent service. Well done!

I tried tuna in a crunchy bread crust with chopped pistachios and I wished it would never end! Offer of 3 different oils to season dishes: lemon, basil, ginger. A special touch.
I tried the ricotta and pistachio cake, a delight. The digestive is offered by. In the photo, the pistachio one, good.
Really friendly and kind service.

Excellent choice also for the doughs which also allow you to choose the gluten-free one in complete safety (personally tried).
It's a cheerful and friendly place with a nice outdoor seat overlooking the Lignano pine forest which I love so much!

02/09/2023: I expected a lot more from "Ristorante-Pizzeria Smeraldo", but what I experienced was really disappointing. First of all I would like to say that I don't normally write 1 star reviews, but unfortunately in this case I don't see any other option.
The quality of the food was simply subpar. I ordered a lasagna hoping to get an authentic Italian dish. What I got instead was a tasteless, soggy something that didn't even remotely resemble lasagna. I could have eaten cardboard and it would have tasted the same.
As if that wasn't bad enough, my companion opted for the "hamburger", which turned out to be completely inedible. The burger had a strange, indefinable taste that reminded me a lot of dog food. We both couldn't finish our meals and wondered how a restaurant with such miserable quality could even exist.
I definitely will not recommend this restaurant and would advise anyone looking for a decent meal to look elsewhere.
