05/04/2024: The ‘free transfer’ was a terrible public bus ride, which wasn’t free. The food consisted of unidentifiable ‘pig/pork’ meal which smelled of rotting flesh. Was told the total cost was 60€ ended up being price per person. Very unpleasant experience, with the staff asking for a tip in a passive aggressive manner. Genuinely would not recommend visiting if you enjoy good food, and value your time and money.

03/04/2024: Disappointing.. poor food and a lot of arrogance on the part of the owners, They only have to thank the tourists who unfortunately are passing through and are fooled by the view which is fantastic.

04/01/2024: We stayed here for our honeymoon in September 2023 and really enjoyed our time there. The staff were always professional and friendly. The rooms and entire hotel were very clean, and the restaurant patio had a great dinner menu and even better views! As with many places in Positano, be prepared for going up and down a lot of stairs each day!!

16/02/2024: One of the greatest meals of my life with an even better view. If you get the chance, you need to eat here. They send a car and the whole experience is worth every moment. THIS is authentic Italy.

16/10/2023: We appreciated the free shuttle but the driver chatted with a lady in the car on the way up to the restaurant and completely ignored us. On arrival at the restaurant, the other couple and their dog were hastened along the pathway to the restaurant, leaving us behind. I cannot walk fast and we weren't sure where to go. On reaching the restaurant, we again felt ignored. It was a good 15 to 20 minutes before we were offered a drink and a further 15 minutes after that to get them. In the meantime, our travel companions had drinks and their first course. I am a dog person and have dogs but the attention given to this one was ridiculous. I had booked this restaurant on a recommendation and expected something special. The food was ok at best. I thought I'd experience a dining wow but absolutely not. The starter and main were very pretty but bland. The tiramisu dessert was tart. It tasted/seemed burnt. We then had another gallop back to the transfer vehicle, which made me very uncomfortable. The food, for me, was not at all special in taste although well presented. Can't argue with that. I think the experience was tarnished by the feeling we weren't trendy enough, too old. In fact, I felt really uncomfortable. We didn't get the amazing views as our hotel booked the table for 7 which was far too late to see the sunset. Not the restaurant's fault obviously but further upset the evening. Drinks were ridiculously over priced. We eat out at similar restaurants regularly but won't return here. Also, please ask your staff not to pet dogs at the table and then bring my food. When the bill is 175 euros for two I don't think that's unreasonable

18/02/2024: War Gute Erfahrung im dieser Laden. Der Schneiderei ist im Keller des Geschäft. Lein ist auch regional. The girls and I bought a lot of dresses, beautiful linen, you can immediately see the good quality. Received many compliments in these outfits. The hostess is cool, she gave me a discount on 2 dresses on the last day of the season. The linen is local and the dresses are made there

07/03/2024: An upscale restaurant in the luxurious Hotel Villa Franca, with gorgeous views of the sea and hills on the other side of Positano. The seafood - blue lobster gnocchi, the miso/pepper mint turbot, and the smoked yogurt monkfish - was impressive in taste and presentation, with simple touches of seasoning to enhance the flavor of freshness. The portion sizes could be more generous as main courses aside from the high prices. The chocolate cake was too delicious, while the wines were delightful on their own. The service was efficient but too formal and aloof to be personable. The wine cellar has an outstanding collection of Petrus and Lafite Rothschild and is worth a tour on request. To celebrate any special occasion in Positano, there is no better place. Request one of two tables in front with 180-degree views of the sea and twinkling lights at night. A one-star Michelin restaurant.

22/10/2023: Wildly underwhelming. We paid over $600 for an homage to aesthetic over substance. Food was not good and I literally left hungry in search of a hearty dinner. It’s completely lost all the things that make Italian food the best- spirit, commitment to good ingredients, and hearth. The food is the plastic and bland. Decor is tacky and v 90s gauche. Overall skip skip skip.

20/10/2023: Wow what an experience. Thankfully we waited patiently to be seated, we ordered a couple of mozzarella, tomato and Basil paninis with Aperol Spritz which were all lovely. What we weren’t expecting was to be served by the Italian Basil Fawlty, with all the people who just sat down without being invited as individual Manuels. It literally was a laugh a minute and we were okay because we had waited to be seated. You’d pay good money in the UK for a Fawlty Towers experience, here we were getting it for free. The stories the one star reviews tell are absolutely correct (whenever have you heard a 5 star reviewer saying that?) I would definitely recommend going but I’d suggest that you wait to be seated, order your food and a spritz, sit back and enjoy the entertainment. For any younger readers please replace any mention of Fawlty Towers with Karens.

02/04/2024: No soap in the bathrooms. Pretty lac lustre service and pretty grotty. We were going to stay for food but simply couldn’t stomach it.

27/12/2023: It always reconfirms itself as the best bar in Positano. Always a guarantee and has made the history of Positano.
