25/03/2024: Stopped here for very late lunch 1535 hrs returning to Corvara from Marmolada, but via off piste routes. Key was to be somewhere where no lifts were necessary for our return. Kitchen was closed but the owner most kindly offered us sandwiches, he’s mates with my awesome alpine guide Maria P. The bread looked huge but did it just melt in my mouth, so soft, so tasty, so fresh, and the prosciutto was to die for! How do they get everything to taste so good and fresh up on a mountain! The views outside were lovely! Must visit. Straight ski down to Corvara !

06/04/2024: Very nicely located hut with a great view. The service is quick and friendly, and the dishes are also very good. We particularly liked the Kaiserschmarren - although when it's very busy, it's only available outside of lunchtime. But you shouldn't miss it!

20/03/2024: This hut with a great sun terrace and panoramic views is located directly on the ski slopes. Friendly service and delicious food invite you to stop by ⛷️. The pasta with mushrooms and the “Gröschtl” (eggs with bacon and fried potatoes) were delicious. Highly Recommended!!!

02/04/2024: Typical Italian restaurant. We had brushetta, pizza, pasta, and risotto. And everything was of great quality and taste. The staff are very friendly. I recommend it when you're in the area.

27/03/2024: When I go on holiday to Corvara for years now Fornella has always been the fixed stop for every dinner for me and my family! The staff is always very friendly, the service is very fast and the food is of excellent quality! Gluten-free pizza is very good and it's not always a given to find gluten-free options!

29/03/2024: The first evening I ordered a second course, and unfortunately only for that evening they served it to me cold and raw, they immediately apologized and after 10 minutes I was able to enjoy my order, the bill was very welcome and the cancellation of the wrong second course was also appreciated . It's the second evening I've gone with my family. Really nice place, well-proportioned spaces between the tables, warm staff from the entrance to the end of the meal, friendly, kind. The food is excellent and the cost is fair for what you eat. The bathrooms are always clean and fragrant and superbly presented. Finally, the DOC dessert is the APPLE STRUDEL, warm, soft and tasty I recommend it to anyone who wants to have a wonderful evening

10/02/2024: We waren hier om een wijntje te drinken in de hotelbar. Mooie wijnkaart met lekkere wijnen. Stukje kaas en heerlijke olijven krijg je lekker bij de wijn. Ambiance en setting kloppen helemaal.

13/12/2023: Not a MIchelin level restaurant: service is the only thing at the level, in general food was uninspiring. Scampi presented in a half shelf, claws were not not cracked open, no pliers were provided for this, we had to scrape the meat out of the shell with a regular, however small fork. Any run-of-the mill restaurant in Liguria, where we live, would provide scampi raw or cooked at half the price. Here we paid E70.00! for a plate of scampi with something on the side. The description of the dish in the menu was totally inadequate. Turbot, which normally is a fish with a lot of taste, was bland and not interesting. Various in-between bits and pieces were of variable interest. Very disappointing.

11/10/2023: Esperienza di altissimo livello ! a differenza di 2 anni fa ..dove c'erano stati problemi di tempistiche.. , la nuova cucina guidata dallo Chef Simone Catafio ha regalato piatti emozionanti e tempistiche pressoché perfette nella scaletta tra le varie portate. Iniziando con un bonus per il servizio gestito da ragazze molto preparate e professionali ! tornado alla cucina, Un applauso per i pre appetizer degni di nota ! ogni piatto è stato pressoché perfetto , abbinamenti equilibrati e cotture millimetriche . Ottimo i ravioli nella biscque di gamberi e bonus per il dolce ai fichi veramente spettacolare. Unica pecca.. la cottura del petto di selvaggina non è stata eseguita in modo ottimale , in quanto restava gommosa al palato (sarebbe stato meglio renderla più croccante). Sicuramente consigliatissimo ! Bravi !

21/03/2024: Superb hotel, located just right in Corvara. Multiple buildings with access to main building underground and so easy. The dining room offers a superb breakfast, the quality of the bread and even an omelette is ridiculously fresh and lights up the taste buds. Meals at dinner are very good and change every day. Was with a group of skiers and riders from the US for the week a few days ago. The guest service provided by the staff is jsuperb, attentive, intelligent, pragmatic, and expeditious. Lobby bar is the best, the bartenders smart, snappy and with it. Lot of fun sitting there. Had lovely confabs with my fellow ski group folks and met some real nice people who were visiting on their own at the bar. They are real patient and will stay with you till you finish your spirits, just cool people. For the nightlife oriented there is the Iceberg Bar in the hotel right off the lobby, have at it, it ‘s loud music but there they do adhere to closing times as locals visit and need to get home is the conjecture. Ski lockers are in the basement which opens out into the place where the bus takes you. Airy, clean and with boot heaters in your locker so very professional and slick. Location is superb as Sportalfredo has their rental store right outside the hotel so it’s a 10 second walk to get your rentals which can be booked online directly. The shuttle service takes your religiously daily to the lift hub in Corvara and will pick you up at days end if required. Actually, if you ski with an instructor-guide, they will show you a way to ski right to the back of the hotel but note, needs snow en route which we had. Great expansive spa, where the masseuses really do breakdown your tension knots, and a plethora of choices in types of saunas etc. The rooms are big, have balconies, now was situation in the annex across the street, excellent location, views and room amenities are great, bathroom is spotless and huge. Well that’s all I can remember, other than what a week ! And this was the perfect home base to come home to. The extras, some of our group arrived very late due to flight rerouting cause of the Lufthansa strike. The hotel arranged for most needed food-snack bags for the hungry late and weary arrivals. On the way out, we left at an ungodly morning hour, again the Hotel gave all of us, a travel bag of sandwiches and fruits with water, note the sandwiches were so good, this person ate them at the hotel ! Just a great place to stay in the Dolomites. On par with and perhaps better than many other hotels have frequented in the European Alps and most definitely better than even the ritzy 5 star places in the US ! Only negative I can think of but worth noting, there are no Coffee percolators/machines in the rooms so only way to get an early morning java or tea is to wait for the restaurant to open at 730pm. Apparently a Dolomites thing but first time have seen that anywhere I can remember. It is a skier-and riders hotel in the winter but for those wanting to hang around and do a spa day or go do other things, lots to be had but I have no idea, just heard so. Went skiing.

08/03/2024: What makes this hotel so special is it's staff. Every one from the lady that cleans the room to the driver that takes you to slope, and of course wonderful bar and reception and restaurant staff. Nothing is ever too smalll. Thank you for making our two weeks holiday an even more amazing and memorable time

29/03/2024: Two weeks ago we stayed at the hotel for a week with friends in a tour group. The friendliness of the staff, the owner family, the spacious, clean rooms and the excellent food convinced us to book this hotel again next winter! Then for the 4th time!!

21/03/2024: Horrible experience with an aggressive hotel manager My wife and I spent a week at Hotel Table. We have known the hotel and especially the café for over 20 years and have been hotel guests several times in the summer. When we arrived on Sunday, our bathroom with a window, which faced the outside wall, was completely cold. We reported this and were told that this could not be the case as the thermostat on the computer showed 22° flow for the bathroom. On Monday morning I met the caretaker in the hallway and told him that the bathroom was still freezing cold. The caretaker checked the inspection shaft in front of the room and couldn't find anything. At 8:00 a.m. I went to see Director Pescosta and, visibly annoyed, he told me that his thermostat on the computer was still showing 22° and it couldn't be that our bathroom was cold. His wife Annamaria promised me that they would still check this during the day and have it fixed if necessary. When we returned around 4 p.m. the bathroom was still ice cold and Mr. Pescosta and the caretaker then checked the inlet in front of the room more closely and it turned out that the spigot was jammed and therefore no heat could get into the bathroom . My wife then angrily told Mr. Pescosta that we weren't liars and that he had simply ignored our complaints and not taken care of anything. Mr. Pescosta then freaked out in the hallway in front of the room, shouted that he wouldn't accept this criticism and that we wanted to leave the hotel immediately. When my wife went back into the room, Mr. Pescosta illegally gained entry into the room with his lock card, despite my presence and my objections!! He said that this is his hotel and he can do whatever he wants at any time. I managed to take him to the lobby on the ground floor and he went completely crazy there. He insulted my wife several times in her absence, among other things with the statement: "The chick doesn't sleep in the bathroom, but in the bed and shouldn't act like that when the bathroom is cold." It should be mentioned here that my wife and I am around 60 years old, Mr. Pescosta should be around 80 years old. Normally we would have left immediately, but we were tired, it was getting close to evening, we had already bought the ski passes for 7 days and the place was almost fully booked. The next day, his wife Annamaria told us that it was up to us to leave if we no longer felt welcome in the hotel. Since the bathroom was now slowly getting warmer and the staff were very nice and we always felt comfortable in the hotel, we stayed. On Tuesday night the bath was lukewarm at 20° and only after a hydraulics specialist professionally adjusted the inlet did it finally become pleasantly warm in the bath after 2 days. Mr. Pescosta has been avoiding us all week, he even turned around on the stairs when he met us. His behavior was embarrassing and not worthy of a hotelier. His insults were outrageous and misogynistic. We waited in vain for an apology from him for 5 days, which is why we now have this review. We learned from another source that Mr. Pescosta had celebrated his birthday on the day of the escalation and was away from home during the day. This scandal occurred in the afternoon. Mr. Pescosta is strongly recommended to at least hand over the management of the hotel as soon as possible and, if at all, to move exclusively in the background. About the hotel itself: The positive aspects are the staff, the beautiful café, the cleanliness and the food in the hotel. The negative aspects are the uncomfortable dining room in the basement, the very cramped buffet room and the fact that you have to get your own coffee, cappuccino, etc. from a single machine for all hotel guests. You are also expected to hand in your car keys at reception.

04/04/2024: The advantage of the restaurant is a beautiful view and attractive surroundings. It's convenient to stop by here while driving around Sellaronda. Good pizza. Inside, there is an attractive interior and a viewing terrace nearby. Good place for skiers.

23/03/2024: Very well designed in a fabulous location but personally I find it a little over the top in the pomp. But if you like it, that's great. It's a shame that I don't find the quality of the food up to par with the ultra-modern setting while the price definitely mimics that of a delux hotel in the Emirates! But since it's often full, I'm the one who's wrong.
