02/04/2024: Everything is good, really excellent quality products, even the pizza eaten today at lunchtime... I have to make a reprimand though... The puff pastries cannot be missing, given how good they are you should be churning them out freely 😜

The kind and helpful staff and a menu that offers a wide variety of typical Tuscan dishes prepared with excellent raw materials crown an experience certainly worth repeating and recommending.

13/03/2024: Location veramente molto carina quella di ieri sera. Una splendida cascina sulle colline di Firenze. Curata sia esternamente che internamente. Rivisitata nello stile non proprio country ma con delle note moderne che secondo me non guastano,rendendo tutto il suo interno un un'ambiente caldo ed accogliente a tutti gli effetti. Al muro dipinti di pittori locali padroneggiano nelle grandi pareti illuminate simmetriche per far sì che ogni tavolo abbia uno spazio molto intimo. Titolare veramente carino e gentile. Molto disponibile con i clienti. Veniamo al menu': La scelta un pochino difficile e coraggiosa direi,nel presentare una Firenze di tradizioni con un mix verso il gourmet. Apprezzato da me lo ammetto che amo assaggiare tutto ma forse non gradita in un pubblico al cento per cento. Scelte che dividono sempre un po' la clientela...ma del resto ci vuole coraggio!!! Premiati senza dubbio nel coniglio ripieno e nella mousse meravigliosa di caprino con mele che lo chef mi ha fatto arrivare in un bicchiere perfettamente servita. Ottima la tagliata con le mandorle e gli spinaci saltati . Dolci.....no vabbè....tortino di mele. Ottimo. Cotto perfettamente, caldo al profumo di cannella . Il mio preferito lo sapete ormai. 02/04/2024: The restaurant is located in a delightful corner immersed in the countryside. We arrived without booking, following Google reviews. The place appears rustic but well-kept, we had lunch outside in a small courtyard under a splendid wisteria pergola. The trio of fettunta, the bruschetta with wild boar livers and mushrooms are excellent and the house wine is equally excellent. The homemade cantucci with vin santo are memorable, along with the smile and kindness of the service. You made us feel good!

16/10/2023: We were there for a destination wedding and took over the whole place. The food was lovely and the wine was reasonably priced. The views are amazing. This place is in the middle of nowhere. We were allocated a villa up the hill(1km ish). We didn't have a car and that was a mistake. You need a car if you are staying in the villas. The road was tough on cars, our roommates got a puncher. Impossible for rolling luggage. We were informed that the resort will be open next year and then closed for 15 months for renovations. Hopefully they improve the road and invest in some golf carts!

24/09/2023: Location molto bella, porzioni tentativo...gourmet Qualità e cottura della carne da pizzeria... Dispiace esprimere questa valutazione ma dopo essere stati fatti accomodare in terrazza nonostante fosse palese ...ci fosse aria poco piacevole mangiando. Ci ha stupito vedere così poca professionalità sia in cucina che nel servizio. Ragazzi che servono sorridenti ma con una gentilezza artificiale e sicuramente non professionisti Quando si ha un menù con quei prezzi...nel vino addirittura folli Viene da dire solo Vergognatevi

29/02/2024: Cheerful and informal environment, the waiters are volunteers and not professionals so there could be some minor mix-ups. Excellent food with homemade ingredients, excellent quality/price ratio. The room is large and colourful, and sometimes it can be a little noisy when there are long tables, but this makes it festive. Various pizza doughs and menus of the day with special dishes available

17/03/2024: Ristorante che si conferma eccellenza locale, menù articolato e di livello così come il servizio. Pici all'acciugata spettacolari! Ottimi anche i dessert. Unica nota negativa, menù non adattissimo ai bambini (magari un paio di primi "da bimbi" sarebbero sufficienti 🙂), ma nel complesso ottima esperienza come sempre!

18/02/2024: Il Cavaliere di Gabbiano è un piccolo ristorante nel Chianti che offre, in una location immersa nel verde dei vigneti, una cucina contemporanea di buon livello con un menu’ non molto ampio ma con piatti interessanti come gli ottimi raviolini ripieni di coniglio alla cacciatora in brodo di patate arrosto. Di livello anche la bistecca molto tenera. Prezzi non bassi. La carta dei vini e’ ampia e non offre solo etichette legate al territorio con ricarichi a volte un po’ alti. Servizio veloce e professionale. Una sola nota; quando si ordina un bistecca che si paga al chilo bisognerebbe comunicarne preventivamente il peso ai clienti.

14/02/2024: Bellissima location personale disponibile anche se alcuni di loro poco esperti ed attenti ai dettagli sul servizio. La serata di San Valentino è stata organizzata molto bene ma un pochino troppo lenta l’uscita del secondo piatto a menu fisso. Tutto comunque buonissimo e atmosfera molto elegante. Proprietari cortesi ed onesti.

13/02/2024: One of the last Tuscan shops still active, one of the last businesses that offer quality, courtesy and a direct customer/owner relationship. The baked goods are excellent, among which the traditional Schiacciata with oil stands out, to be filled as desired. Really honest prices.

31/10/2023: We went on Sunday for a friend's birthday. The vegetarians/celiacs were given a small plate of stewed courgettes twice and finally a small plate of broccoli to be divided in two (for the vegetarians). No one was served coffee, telling us that the machine was broken... maybe, but just before paying, some of the staff was drinking coffee! These problems occurred even though the various intolerant/fussy food requirements had been communicated at the time of booking.
