03/04/2024: A very nice and comfortable place. I didn't know this place and by chance we went among friends one evening to eat here. From the outside it seems small but inside it is huge. The place is well kept and looked after. The service is very good, including the waiters who are always available. The starter is well prepared and everything is of excellent quality. I had black spaghetti with clams and courgette flowers. The pasta was very al dente, perhaps a little too much. But the flavor was great. Then the dessert was also very tasty. Advised !!
01/04/2024: Being from Puglia on Easter trip, I had lunch in this restaurant to feel at home. Excellent menu choice with Easter Sunday dishes. All good, to come back to taste other specialties. Thank you Officina degli Apuli. Highly recommended.

30/04/2024: I went to Turin for a few days on the occasion of the April 25th long weekend and stopped to have dinner several evenings in this place a few minutes from the center.
The restaurant is quite spacious and well looked after, consisting of a main room at the entrance, an internal room and a large terrace on the terrace.
The menu offers meat, fish and pizzas for all palates with a wide range of Apulian cuisine.
I have always been satisfied at all the dinners, excellent pizza, large and well stuffed, good fish especially the well-executed frying, not least the meat and starters, the first courses not exciting.
Generous portions, prices a little above average but the quality is there and deserves it, staff are welcoming, friendly and available for all requests.
Parking not very large but nearby.
Worth trying, recommended.

05/11/2023: Dopo diversi anni siamo ritornati in questo ristorante che ci ha sempre sorpreso positivamente. I piatti assaggiati, sempre ottimi e ben presentati, in questa cornice unica ed estremamente accattivante, hanno reso piacevole anche questa esperienza culinaria. Il servizio sembra leggermente peggiorato e meno attento alle esigenze dei clienti.
Ritorneremo presto.....spero!

Additionally a very pleasant environment with a lovely small inside yard, an interesting wine list and a hospitable owner.
Special mention to the mature gentleman that was serving our table.
You have to visit Racale, only for the shake of this restaurant.

07/04/2024: One of our worst restaurant experiences in all of our long travel lifetime, terrible organization, bad food, crappy wine and the worst customer service on the planet. First: my wife has fatal allergies to dairy and pork protein, it is somewhat hard to find restaurants where she can eat but we thought this would be one. So she ordered mushrooms, polenta and fries and I tried the 'fresh' scampi spaghettone. The spaghettone and the fries came, scampi were from the freezer (even if you put SOME efford into your kitchen, you can get fresh scampi on the market in Bari every day). 'Housewine' was the cheapest supermarket booze.
My wife was waiting for her meals for over an hour, they never came (they obviously had served it to other costumers). Finally we decided to pay and leave, they had added her meals (which they had not served) on the bill. Long discussion as the restaurant refused to accept that my wife had not received her order. Finally they took those items from the check. No apologies, no 'scusi', nothing. When I told them (absolutely calmly) after I had paid, I would write according reviews, the owner became super angry and told us to leave.
P.s.: the fact, that the owner lied in his response and wanted me to delete my review later on as he wrote this wasn't his restaurant tells everything about this place. My review IS about L'Osteria del Borgo Antico. We have been there on April 1st 2024 about 9 p.m. .

07/04/2024: Despite a beautiful decor, the quality of the dishes is not up to par.... Overcooked meats, uncooked vegetables and barely cooked.... the whole thing is disappointing and the wait is quite long.
02/04/2024: the location is wonderful, a very suggestive old oil mill, shame about some trompe l'oeil of dubious taste.

the house starter is exceptional
just a piece of advice, if I may, don't open at 8.15-8.20pm, give those who want to dine earlier or have children the opportunity to eat at 7.30pm too

The value for money is also very good

15/01/2024: We probably made a mistake in the 'non-typical' choices, but the rib-eye was decidedly disappointing, arriving on incandescent lava stone and definitely too overcooked to look like a tile. 600 g 45 euros definitely too much even just for the quality of the meat which made us feel sick to our stomachs the next day. The rest is better, from the house starter to the bombette, typical capocollo average without infamy without praise. For the price paid you definitely get much better food.
07/01/2024: Outstanding selection and quality of Puglia food, including famous Cisternino BBQ bombettes, burrata cheese, and orecchiette di rapa. Delightful atmosphere with tables along narrow alley. Friendly and competent service. Highlight of our Puglia dining experiences. Cisternino also a lovely hill town.

Accolti in maniera se non fredda, diciamo fresca, anche se il personale è stato educato. Il titolare parecchio assente tra i commensali e non guasterebbe a mantenere un rapporto caldo con gli stessi. Il cibo di pesce nella norma e antipasto di polpo piuttosto anonimo. Buon vino foggiano. La location è molto carina. Il tutto ci può stare senza eccessivi entusiasmi. Direi sufficiente

01/04/2024: If before it was excellent, now it is simply something exceptional, every time they manage to improve which makes each visit even more pleasant. Every single dish is an explosion of flavors and a pleasure to travel half of Italy just to come here. A place absolutely not to be missed for any reason in the world, much better than some more famous restaurants with 2/3 Michelin stars. Apollo forever. ❤️
